Last Nov, Emily & I photographed at the Rodin Sculpture Garden, Gates of Hell Sculpture and the surrounding area at Stanford. The contrasting light and dark, playing against the shape of the sculpture gave me a chance to work on getting the tonal qualities right. Auguste Rodin was a preeminent French sculptor of his time. (1840-1917). The music of Tchaikovsky - Violin Concerto In D - Canzonetta_ Andante was composed during the same time period and location of Rodin's work.
